Do you know what it's like to dance
for three hours straight? Can you remember the feeling? The oneness
with the music, the ease with which your body moves, understanding
the beat's perfect regularity. It's unreal. Body and mind are
in tune on a subconscious level discovered long ago. Your head
is clear and you don't have to think about what you want your
body to do, you don't even have to try. No matter what comes
through the speakers you're on the beat. When you do finally
stop to catch your breath and take a sip of water, the music
sounds even better. It's logical and uniform and perfect more
than ever before. You finish the water, crush the bottle flat
and save it for a refill. Then, without using any energy at all,
without having to try, without stopping once, you spring to the
beat for hours on end.
Dancing until you get into the zone
is a great experience with any form of music, but it's best with
Jungle. The state of mind you reach is higher, and the connection
you feel with those on the same beat - however few they may number,
is stronger. Being in the zone is ultimately rewarding and the
satisfaction that comes with moving perfectly to the beat is
euphoric on a pure and natural level. Twisted beats aren't too
tricky anymore, instead you crave the challenge. No matter how
cluttered the mixes are, for once they are not too complex. That
is what many of us feel every week and why so many of us meet
up at Jungle parties. We leave our separate lives behind in hope
that somehow tonight will be one of those perfect nights where
the DJs will spin great sets, where all the Junglists will be
in one place, and where nothing will come between ourselves and
Jungle. |
