The purpose of Ravers Digest is to capture pieces of the more interesting rave world. We want to keep the feelings, thoughts, sights, and other sensations in a safe place, so that we can go back to the music and the people and the world we love whenever we want. Each member of the staff will know that after we have driven home from our last party, after we have given up the scene, we will still always have it.
If a rave was just about going to a show to watch a DJ spin a set, then our work would be very different. But it is not. Raves are subjective and interactive experiences, and each person's experience is different. While we all go for the music we could just as well put in a CD and listen to it at home. We go for the whole experience of raving. Everything from the drive up, to seeing friends that we only get to see at parties, to meeting new people, to driving back, and the hundreds of other things that people do at raves which may or may not even have anything to do with the music at all.
We want to have a place for people to see what raving is today, but we certainly do NOT want anyone to think that reading this website is a substitute for actually going to a rave. Additionally, thinking long term, we want to be able to read these words, and see these pictures in 5 or 10 or 20 years from now, and remember these days. If we can shed a tear and feel the vibe we can ask for no more.
